As I listen to other talking heads who need to create non-existing controversy by giving second rate candidates a chance of beating President Barack Obama, I am thinking "This is absolutely insane"! I am certain that some of these same folks gave him little chance when he announced his candidacy. In fact, he was ridiculed most in the media and, indeed the general public, did not give him a chance in hell for becoming president until he shocked the world and Hilary Clinton by winning the first in the nation democratic primary contest - the Iowa caucus. I point out - from no chance - to El Presidente.
He has skillfully positioned himself at the vital center of American politics. The recent fight over raising of the debt ceiling illustrated his leadership style and skills - in the face of intransigent opposition. The current noise is reflective of the 'blood' loving extreme wings of the two political parties. However, the independents tend to reward those who seek compromise over the red meat. It is very likely that their willingness to sink the country in order to stick it to Obama
-will sicken middle America once they tune in - on or about Labor Day weekend 2012. That's when all that red meat talk and conduct by current GOP candidates and leadership in Washington will be exhibited to the voters - yes - the vital 30 percent undecided voters. That's the one ton elephant in the room.
