Rick Perry is Still Clinging to 'Birther' Views and Race Baiting

I don't expect a country music loving, cowboy boots wearing, Texas-twang slanging,  and evangelical white fellow to accept a black man, whose mother was white from the heartland and Kenyan (black African) father. In fact I expect such a man to be appalled at such a man.  But if you listen to Cowboy Rick, you would think Obama is some foreigner.  No Ricky - he is an America.  Like most Americans - he was not born to privilege or a peaceful white family from the suburbs.  You had all the privileges of both your race and gender - because a white man has no one to blame but himself for failure in this country.   Obama's story is more American than yours.  The fact is Perry and men like him have been freaked out by the election of Obama as the first American black president.  Something they probably did not expect to see in their life time.  Then he appoints two women, one Latino, to the highest court in the land.  The deep passion against Obama and the uniformed opposition from mostly white males on the Republican side is telling.  Loosing power hurts.
