The candidates for the Democratic party's presidential nomination engaged in a heated debate last night in South Carolina. The must win state that one can use to knock-out opponents because it leads to the big southern states and the SEC primary, named after the powerhouse college football conference. It was clear from the start that both Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton were ready to attack each other with passion and precision; although they both accused the other misrepresenting their positions on a host of issues, the debate was quite civil and substantive; unlike we have seen in the Republican debates.
