President Obama vs. Newt Gingrich : Family Values Advantage Obama, Democrats

The political God's must be a little intoxicated these days; or the GOP primary voters are high on some high-grade chronic?  How will the self-proclaimed party of family values - explain to the general voting public their rationale for (possibly) selecting a serial husband (currently on 3rd marriage), a philanderer (was cheating with current wife while wife was battling cancer), ethically challenged (punished by ethics panel leading to exit from House & Speaker position), ultimate insider (18 years in Washington as rep and now wealthy lobbyist), a Hypocrite (was calling for Clinton's impeachment as he was cheating on his wife); and he and his wife have over a million dollar credit-line with a high-end jewelry retailer Tiffany's (not exactly Appalachia living); how can the party of God and Bible select such a man as their party's standard bearer?  Must be something in that GOP water!

If the Republican party indeed select Newt Gingrich to take on President Obama - it will represent a sharp retreat from the Republican party's self-proclaimed party of family values mantra - to say the least.  Compared to Newt Gingrich, Barack Obama is a Family Values super star, a true saint who walks on water.  Not a blemish on his record.  The President has been married to only Michelle Obama with whom they have two beautiful children that he absolutely adores.  Where does the GOP stand on family values beside hating gays these days?  Apparently - that's it. With their new found love for the anti-family poster child, Newt Gingrich,  they have effectively abdicated the family values throne - meaning evangelicals will most likely skip the 2012 presidential elections - and for a Good-and-Godly reason!
